Distinct Advantages

IMI-qt is endowed with the following unique advantages:

Location

IMI-qt is located in the heart of some 30 millions of potential users of its state-of-the art healthcare services.  It features a prime location:

  • Situated on National Highway 1A in between Ho Chi Minh City’s rapidly developing northern suburbs of Binh Thanh, Go Vap, Hoc Mon and Cu Chi (all together populated by some four million),
  • Five kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City’s international airport
  • Fifteen kilometers from Saigon and the populous (8 millions) heart of Ho Chi Minh City through a transportation corridor.
  • To the north and east along Highway 1A are the prosperous district of Thu Duc and provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ra – Vung Tau, and further on Ninh Thuan and Nha Trang (a population together of around 10 million).  Following 1A to the south is the Mekong Delta, of another 15 million inhabitants.

Statistics

From Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta and the southeastern provinces, the total target population approaches 28 million people, and economic statistics suggest that 20% of that population have high-purchase power.

Leading Vietnamese hospitals have recently shown that over 16 percent of the population suffers from cardio-vascular diseases, an increase of 6-8 percent from just ten years ago, and over 10 percent of the total target population may require oncology services.

Land

Located inside Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), the four-year-old IT application hub in southern Vietnam, the site of our IMI-qt facility is 4,370 square meters, with 45% of that of allowable building density.  IMI-qt is a four-storey building comprising 7,000 square meters of utilization space.  The annual rate for the land is US$0.40 per square meter plus utility tax, or US$ 0.55 in total.

Infrastructure

IMI-qt is strategically situated in the heart of QTSC, which is Vietnam’s most modern, fully-equipped high-technology park offering the highest quality of infrastructure in Vietnam.  Issues of power supply, bandwidth, and firewall security receive the central, municipal and local governments’ highest priorities.

Telecommunications Infrastructure

The IMI-qt facility is directly connected to an international Internet gateway of 8Mbps with a local firewall and built on the digital optical fiber backbone and a full range of ports and bandwidth provided through scalable connections to the Internet, including E1, T1, Frame Relay, and supporting use of video, multimedia, voice and data communications.

Partnerships

IMI-qt’s strength is our relationships with IMI Corp’s partners such as Houston Medical Imaging and Saigon Tech (Saigon Institute of Information Technology) in Vietnam.  The synergistic relationships with other IMI Corp Affiliates IMI-vt, IMI-ct and IMI-vn offer a healthcare network covering all of southern Vietnam.

Relationships with local major hospitals such as Ho Chi Minh City’s University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Trieu-An, and Hoan My hospitals, and Medic Medical Center make IMI-qt the unique medical high-tech reference destination.

Vietnam’s Medical Laws and Regulations

IMI-qt is experienced and knowledgeable in abiding to Vietnam’s specific healthcare laws and regulations.  It is also committed to information security and to protect the patients’ privacy rights and their interests.

IMI-qt will facilitate the collaboration between healthcare and information technology and telecommunications professionals, along with governmental agencies and policy makers.  IMI-qt seeks to reinforce national health structure, facilitate training and education for healthcare professionals, integrating into the national health program and assisting in development of public health information system.
