The Center of Medical Excellence
Networked with healthcare providers from throughout southern Vietnam – from Can Tho through Saigon and to the province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau – and potentially serving a population of over thirty million, the four-storey IMI-qt Center of Medical Excellence will include an education and training department, a clinic, and Health Screening, Oncology, Cardiology, Imaging, and Telemedicine centers, and engineering department, along with residences for medical staff. The services are oriented towards the needs of the target population.
Education and Training
Custom Training and Onsite Training programs will benefit both healthcare staff and professionals and computer science and IT engineers, and will be overseen by IMI Corp Affiliates and Partners. The department houses a library, an auditorium for direct lectures and an equipment room for on the job training, each equipped to provide distance education through e-Health technologies. These technologies open up new possibilities for continuing education or training or access to remote information for isolated or rural health practitioners, who may not be able to leave a rural practice to take part in professional meetings or educational opportunities.

Community Clinic
This international emergency and primary care clinic provides world-standard services, with foreign-trained medical teams, the most advanced healthcare equipment systems, medical procedures and approaches. Although the center of Saigon claims a few international-standard clinics and one international hospital, the IMI General Clinic of Quang Trung is unique to the northern half of Ho Chi Minh City. IMI-qt places great priority on community-based healthcare to deliver healthcare services more effectively and equitably.
Health Screening
The IMI Health Screening Center provides preventive health examinations in Cardiology and Oncology. Medical examination programs are designed to identify health risk factors and early signs of common fatal diseases. For out of town (domestic and overseas) visitors, IMI is offering an affordable, convenient health and travel screening package which takes one morning and fits their travel itinerary. Health screening provides sound advice on life style changes based on patient’s screening results to minimize health risks, giving patients peace of mind knowing their actual health condition.
Oncology
Established with a focus on the nearly ten percent of the total target population that may require cancer care, the IMI-qt Oncology Center offers international-standard patient care, from diagnosis through treatment, by oncologists and clinical staff with the necessary academic, clinical and research experience through the latest procedures and technology for medical oncology treatment. The Oncology Center supports the Community Clinic and Health Screening Center, and is in turn supported by the Medical Imaging Center.
Cardiology
Leading Vietnamese hospitals have recently shown that over 15 percent of that population suffers from cardio-vascular diseases, an increase of 6-8 percent from just ten years ago, and IMI-qt’s Cardiology Center has been established to meet the population’s prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation needs. The Cardiology Center’s multidisciplinary team of internationally-trained medical professionals offers the latest diagnostic and treatment procedures through technological advancements at the state-of-the-art facility.
Medical Imaging
Radiology
With on-site radiologists for international-standard reporting and diagnosis in Vietnam, and a CT Scanner, ultra-sound, conventional X-ray and X-ray angiography in the first phase and MRI in the second, the Radiology Department at IMI-qt will handle in house referrals from the Screening, Oncology and Cardiology centers and the Community Clinic, and will provide for second opinion.
Tele-Radiology
A tele-archiving, tele-radiology and tele-diagnosis institution, the Medical Imaging Center is clustered and networked with local, remote clinics and large-scale hospitals. The Department boasts the IMI-administered image database and file transfer through broadband Internet with domestic clients and worldwide radiology practices. Foreign specialists will have the ability to enter reports, which are entered in the archive database.
e-Medicine
IMI-qt is at the forefront in Vietnam in supporting primary healthcare more effectively at the secondary and tertiary levels using telemedicine. The first of its kind in Vietnam, the e-Medicine Center serves all populations from rural areas to urban communities through connectivity with other clinics and hospitals in the country for distance diagnosis based on vital sign transmission coupled with video-conferencing. Networked with international e-Health institutes for e-Learning, it is designed for medical professionals as well as the public.
